Description
The 1126 childproof pattern telescopic friction stays are for use in conjunction with the inward or outward opening window plates (R1178 & R1179). They are specifically designed to hold a window open. Suitable for use on Aluminium, Timber and PVCu inward and outward opening windows and doors.
Installation of the stay should be at the top of the window and situated at the recommended saftey height of 1.80m above floor level. To install, the window should be opened to a maximum of 100mm, the stay fully extended and the fixing holes marked.
Construction:
Body – Aluminium with aluminium rod
Ancillaries – polyamide
Care should be taken to ensure that the bayonet catch is always to the hinge side of the window.
After screwing the stay in position and securing the bayonet catch, the required friction can be obtained by turning the adjusting screw.
